Dear Graduates,
CONGRATULATIONS! I know you didn’t have the gift of experiencing a traditional graduation ceremony. But please know your achievements are no less than graduates in years past.
This year, whether you earned a high school diploma, a career college diploma, an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or a doctoral degree, you have reached a highly coveted destination. Although you won’t walk across the stage this year to receive your ceremonial recognition, please know you will always be remembered as graduates of the year 2020; the most memorable year of this century.
In fact, graduating in 2020 must inspire and give you additional reasons to be more and to do more for yourselves and the world around you. You now have the unique opportunity and responsibility to lead us through this new era of so many new changes and create greatness in all that you undertake. You have a rare gift of being able to leverage the results of this terrible pandemic and create a future that’s greater than the life we left behind.
Your graduation ceremony in 2020 didn’t turn out the way you or your parents had anticipated and nothing anyone can say will change this truth. But, know that you did graduate, you completed an important chapter in your lives and now it’s time for you to charge forward with incredible zeal and grit to achieve and to make a meaningful difference in your lives and the lives of your loved ones.
Again, my heartfelt congratulations to you, and your loved ones!
ONWARD and UPWARD!
